Our Lady of Immaculate Conception in Manjummel, Kochi, is a premier pilgrimage destination and a historic cornerstone of the Catholic faith in Kerala. Established in 1874 with historic Portuguese-style structure that serves as the motherhouse for the St. Pius X Manjummel Province of Discalced Carmelites. the sacred tombs of Venerable Fr. Zacharias and Blessed Fr. Aurelian, attracting thousands of devotees who seek their intercession.The church features a historic grotto blessed by India’s first Cardinal, Valerian Gracias, and the Little Flower Press, which has published the cultural magazine Cherupushpam since 1927. Celebrated for its serene riverside location and its grand annual feast on December 8th, the basilica remains a vibrant spiritual and cultural hub in the Kochi region.
